Including Grandparents for More Meaningful Family Portraits

Children & Family, Featured

I am proud to offer and create touching portraits of grandparents and grandchildren. This is something not often seen in family portrait sessions.

Grandparents may be reluctant to participate because they might worry about how they look or the energy it will require to get ready. Family members could be concerned about the extra effort it will take to pick up grandma or grandpa as well as their safety.

But if you can make them an integral part of the shoot, you will be thrilled to finally have photos of the multiple generations of your family.

Itโ€™s important to consider the location and accessibility when including older family members. I keep in mind the distance from the parking lot to the actual site. The ground should be relatively flat for walkers and canes.

Having grandparents interact with grandchildren and adult children feels much more natural, and those are the moments worth remembering.

These memories are priceless now and for generations to come. Iโ€™m on a mission to create portraits that are artistic, candid, intimate and meaningful!
