3 To-Do-List for your child’s school picture day
Do you have a high expectation for your child’s school pictures? Probably not! When you have Kaori Devine Photography as your school photographer though, you can expect a lot more! Regardless, your child’s picture day can be scary and disappointing, or easy, fun and memorable with these three tips!
1️⃣ Wash their face and brush their teeth – I have seen milk mustache and sleep crust on so many kids face! We try to wipe it when we see them but a lot of times we miss it and it is on every photo! 😁
2️⃣ Choose a comfortable outfit – We want kids to be happy and confident on a photo day. Selecting an outfit that is comfortable and what the child likes is a good idea! Letting them choose their own outfit (like their favorite Spiderman costume!) can bring out their personality and it might become one of your most memorable school pictures of the child!
3️⃣ Embrace the “imperfections” – It’s best not to worry about the small details and to embrace the experience as a way of documenting your child at this special age. Whether it’s a toothless grin or a stubborn cowlick, your child – just as they are – is the star of the photo. School pictures are keepsakes that show all the ways they’ve grown over the years, and the imperfections are what you’ll come to love most.
Remember, school pictures are a fun and memorable part of the school experience. Embrace the opportunity to capture a moment in time, and don’t stress too much about perfection!
