✨ Day In The Life Family Sessions ✨
This summer, I had the sweetest opportunity to document a Day in the Life session in Oceanside, CA. Unlike traditional portraits with stiff poses or everyone trying to smile at the same time, these sessions are all about capturing the real—the laughter, the quirks, and those in-between moments that make family life so special.
We spent the day doing what this family loves most: hanging out together. The boys played chess and pool, sipped their favorite Shirley Temple, and battled it out in a game of Uno. Later, we strolled down to Top Fun Pie Shop to grab a pie—a summer tradition worth savoring. It was such a relaxed rhythm, the kind of day that feels ordinary in the moment but becomes extraordinary when you look back.
The boys were so sweet, and you could tell how much they genuinely enjoyed just being together. As I clicked away, I couldn’t help but think: these are the moments they’ll remember. Years from now, I hope these images take them back to this summer—the games, the laughter, the pie run, and the joy of simply being a family.
So, what exactly is a Day in the Life session?
It’s a lifestyle photography session that usually lasts 2–3 hours. We choose a few meaningful locations and activities your family enjoys—maybe cooking breakfast together, story time on the couch, playing in the backyard, or a trip to your favorite ice cream shop. There’s no pressure to pose or perform. Instead, I simply document your family’s authentic rhythm—how you laugh, connect, and spend time together.
What I love most is how relaxed these sessions feel. No stress about “perfect” outfits, no pressure for kids to sit still or smile on command. Just your family being yourselves, while I quietly capture the beauty in your everyday moments.
Because in the end, it’s those little things—games of Uno, sticky fingers from pie, or bedtime stories—that become the memories your kids will carry with them. And having them preserved in photographs means you’ll be able to revisit that feeling again and again.
