Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear for my portrait session?
Wear what you love and, most importantly, what you feel beautiful in. For kids, please pick outfits that fit them now and not in 6 months. Avoid bold patterns and if you must wear a pattern, please limit it to one person. Try not to mix bright and pale colors. The bright color will always dominate the photo.
Do you offer retouching?
Yes I do. I want you to love the images you buy. We will discuss the details of retouching at the time of your order.
Where will we take our family portraits?
We are lucky San Diego offers many beautiful outdoor locations. I have my favorite locations for photoshoots but I’d love to hear your ideas. Whether at an open field, beach or woodsy trail, options are endless. I also do quite a few in-home sessions.
When will the photos be ready?
After about a week from your photoshoot, we will meet again for your viewing and ordering appointment. After you purchase your package, your digital photos will be ready within 2 weeks. Your product will be ready in 5 to 6 weeks.
Do you give out raw files (unedited images)?
We don’t deliver raw files.
How do I book a session?
Booking a session with me is simple. Find the contact page at the top of this page and fill out the form. We will schedule a quick Zoom call to find out what you are looking for and I will share my services with you. Once we know that we are a good fit, we will go ahead and schedule a session.
What if my kids don't behave?
Do not worry, I am very patient with children. My family sessions are relaxed and play based. Some kids are shy while others make funny faces. Some even run away when I ask them to come. All are totally normal and I always manage to get nice photos by the end.
What happens if it rains or you need to cancel?
A overcast days are fine, but if it rains or is too windy, we will either need to move locations or reschedule the session. If you are sick or in an emergency situation, please contact me 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
Can we bring along the family pet?
Of course! Your family pets are always welcome at our photoshoot. Oftentimes families will bring a helper to take the pet when they are is not in the photo.
Do I get the copyright/ownership of my photos?
The studio retains all rights, including title and copyright in and to all images produced. We grant Clients a license for personal use and printing from these files.
